The Vintage Homestay is a perfect meeting point for modern and traditional sensibilities. I enjoyed staying at a heritage home inside a gully, that has been restored with love and care. 🏡 The host Abhishu is responsive, and the caretaker, Vishal bhaiya is also very helpful.

This is a beautifully designed and uniquely situated homestay directly on the northern Ghats of the Ganges with an incredible view of the river from the private balcony. Sanjay and his wife who manage the property live upstairs and they are both very kind and helpful. It is possible to order food and chai and coffee from their kitchen which was especially useful for breakfast. Abhishu also organised airport transfers which helped make eveything seamless because the property is difficut to find the first time, being inside the labyrinth of the old city where the streets are too narrow for cars, the final section of the journey was by rickshaw.

The location is stunning and for such an intense city as Varansi it is very quiet at night, I hope to stay again next time I visit this magical city, I would recoomend to couples or solo travellers.

The owner clearly explained everything before the stay, including that the bathroom is located just outside the room, which was not an issue at all.

Check-in was smooth, and the owner also coordinated the pickup.

Since most of Banaras is inside narrow lanes, the property is located within them as well. The stay is right near the ghat—after a couple of visits, you get used to the way.

It was decent stay near River ! River view & easy access to Ganga river But we need to walk 10 min from main area its small dirty road which made our stay bit Unconformable ... But the stay & view is good ! & please let us know about water …

This has been the best experience I've had with a host. Helped us even when we were in the previous city before arrival. Arranging pick up, gave us recommendations right away, super super friendly and kind person. Plus helped us to make sure we got to airport from the place.

The best homestay

The staff are gentle and supportive. It is a bit far from the center area and is very relaxing.

The vibes at this place were exactly as shown in the pictures—really peaceful and pleasant. Most of the temples and ghats were conveniently located within just 3–5 km, which made exploring easy. The home-cooked food was also good.

I recently stayed at Abhishu's Airbnb in Varanasi. The property is very nice and comfortable. Abhishu and his family are very friendly and welcoming. His father is also very kind. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

The house itself, where they themselves stay is a old well kept neat and clean banaras style home... Abhishu, his wife & uncle are the perfect hosts. You can have a long conversation with uncle, about Banaras, the local places to visit, he can help plan your daily places to visit... ask him about almost anything about Banaras and he gives a valuable suggestion. The home is slightly off the touristy circuit, need to travel a bit to reach the Kashi Temple & the ghats, but the beautiful place compensates for all the travel. Food can be requested a bit in advance...

The facilities are modern and clean. The location is quiet and authentic in that you are far from the touristic areas. However. You are really too far out from the main sites, food, restaurants and nice cafes. The balcony is beautiful but there’s no furniture to enjoy it and seat down. It’s a family home, more of an air b and b. If it’s your first time in varanasi then it’s a bit tougher.

The view from this homestay is absolutely serene! The place is clean, safe, and gives you the comfort of being at home. Our co-host, Akash, was really sweet and always ready to help, he guided us throughout our stay and was easily reachable whenever we needed any assistance. Our first visit to Varinassi was made extra special staying here.

Sanjay and his wife Anju who live above are so lovely and helpful but not intrusive at all. Sanjay replies to texts super fast for your bfast or dinner order and any other request.

We had breakfast from Anju each morning and two evening meals left for us to eat in private on the little communal lounge area, they time it perfectly to give you privacy.

The room is amazing, views spectacular, we went in early Jan and came from Goa and it was cold, bring layers it does get chilly. The shower is the most powerful and hot so will warm you up!

I recommend you get a rickshaw driver called BABU, he was amazing for our 2 day temple trips. Sanjay arranged him for us.

Our first day we booked the boat just for ourselves to do a night river trip ( Sanjay booked) and in the day you can walk up to the cremation burning ceremonies 🙏🏻

Good place with the great view

Excellent stay offered by Abhishu and run by Sandjay and Anju. I think the situation corresponds above all to the lover of India, arriving through a maze of small alleys where all of India is concentrated! And then… the Ganges in all its glory!

The house and the room are fully consistent with the descriptions

The welcome by the family was a highlight for us.

We trusted Anju's culinary talent and we were right! On the one hand because there are few restaurants nearby and on the other hand, Anju cooks beautifully.
